Operation Noble Eagle

The first attack on the World Trade Center occurred in 1993.   Undercover government agents were involved, but somehow "bungled" their attempt to foil the plan.   The angst or ire of the American public was not noticeably aroused.   Ramzi Yousef (or whatever his real name is) was convicted and sentenced.   In his possession had been plans for air attacks---

When the ludicrous overreaching of authority and subsequent application of excessive force by police, federal and military authorities occurred during the massacre at Waco, it was a test of the American psyche.   Follow-up observation might have been quite useful in measuring the comprehension and reactional sympathy or complacency of the general public.
During that general time period the media did not provide noticeable coverage of the minor massacre at Ruby Ridge, nor adequate explanation of the issues of the Freemen in Montana.   The Unibomber was at worst a "serial killer," or a "radical."   (To the Liberal press he was too interested in their politically correct ecological issues to be called a "terrorist.")   "Hate crime" wasn't in vogue.   But it is unclear how much useful knowledge about mass psychological reaction might have been acquired during that period.
Then the Oklahoma City "truck bomb" provided for a variation of stimuli and extension of scope of observable reaction.   Both before and since the display of blatant incompetence during investigation of that atrocity, the national media has subjected us to constant allusions to "hate crimes" and predictions of impending terrorism.   Maybe to test our gullibility, there was first a transparently phony attempt to blame "militia groups;" then a complete farce was made of our System of Justice in the rush to destroy, ignore, or refuse to hear evidence, and to quickly railroad the willing scapegoat to the death chamber.   The general public heard only a small, slanted sample of the evidence, but clearly showed the degree of revulsion they felt at the thought of being burned alive or blown to smithereens as innocent victims of a sneak attack in a big building.   We were well aware how horrible that would be...
McVeigh had consulted with government undercover agents who were leaders of a never-clearly-defined, radical, criminal, subversive, biker, hippie, (or something) group.   Despite preponderant evidence and credible testimony from other undercover agents about such agency foreknowledge, authorities ignored that aspect of the case.
Abundant eyewitness testimony that "Iraqi" or "middleastern" terrorists might have been participants went uninvestigated and was stifled by the major media, despite numerous underground press and Internet reports.   Although muted at the time, the suppression begot suspicion yet helped lend credence to the notion that our bumblingly incompetent investigative agencies could be unaware of imminent dangers, --even to their own offices.
Individual government officials in charge during the Randy Weaver/Ruby Ridge, Waco and Oklahoma City incidents were not brought to trial.   Some were even promoted.   The culpable government agencies in the Ruby Ridge case were found guilty in court, and damages awarded, but they were essentially exonerated by the press, and never officially chastised.   Although a trial was held for the sniper in the Weaver/Ruby Ridge case, the surprising defense was the same "I was only following orders" excuse for which WWII war criminals at Nuremburg had been convicted, but the courts inexplicibly exonerated the underlings of murder charges.   It didn't make the front pages.
Further incompetence and obstruction of justice surrounds the TWA 800 incident.   In this case it involves suppression, distortion and misrepresentation of eyewitness accounts, while hiding evidence and persisting in presentation of scientifically unsustainable testimony.   The government agencies further deny any knowledge that "middleastern" terrorists might have fired a missle from below --despite the preponderance of eyewitness testimony.   The more serious the case, the more doggedly they have exhibited incompetence and proclaimed ignorance.
Now, with the public adequately impressed with the incompetence of the agencies, one of the questionably promoted main characters has finally been replaced with a new head of the FBI (who couldn't be expected to yet have a grasp of the situation) only a few weeks before a truly momentous event.   --An event BIG ENOUGH and clearly enough perpetrated by FOREIGNERS to assign guilt before any evidence is made public under oath in a court of law, to justify possible U.S. intervention in Israel, to redirect blame for the freefall of the stock market, and to excite and command control of patriotic wrath; --rallying the American public behind the flag, angered enough to permit military mobilization.
The FBI now claims they were incompetently unaware in this instance also, despite having had dossiers on at least half of the dead perpetrators, and despite having admitted to having reports and suspicions about many others.
Surely we must hasten to give these "incompetent" agencies more laws, authority and money?

      How convenient. Now we have
(fanfare) ta da-a-a!...

Operation Infinite Justice
(--Whoops! Scratch that--)

Operation Noble Eagle

Now we suddenly have Operation Noble Eagle, a projected ten year war against terrorism; --somehow miraculously fully organized and planned-out within a week after the World Trade Center/- Pentagon attacks.   A war that will minimize destruction of infrastructure (read "not harm financial interests") by tracking and hunting down individual alleged perpetrators.   A global war to be conducted not by The United States acting in her rightful role as the offended party, nor because the Monroe Doctrine establishes her RIGHT, nor because as the world's only superpower she CAN; --Oh no!   WE can't do it alone.   We must enlist the participation of NATO (which has a record of exceeding even its own self-granted authority).   We must obtain permission to do this (in historical aclarity) with full approval of the United Nations!

We shall conduct a global war via a strategy that must, however defined or named, permit secret surveillance of all financial transactions, movements, communications and associations of individuals; --a plan that clearly justifies, necessitates, licenses and ensures total invasion of privacy.   --A plan that will restrict individual liberties while it permits United Nations troops unrestricted global freedom to carry out whimsical sporadic, unopposable, unpredictable, selective imposition of Martial Law anywhere in the world, plus unfettered expenditure of "budget surpluses" for military hardware (Military-Industrial contracts), "bail-out assistance" to major corporations, and increased powers and payrolls for federal agencies.   A war that by its very nature cannot be opposed by anyone or any nation that finds it to be objectionable.
--Including the U.S.A.!

Gee, just when the Internet had suddenly begun to increase the awareness of the world citizenry about the way everything works...

Gee, just when we had these great projected budget surpluses...   (But just when the over-inflated world financial system seemed to be faltering...)

Gee, just when the Globalist/One Worlders were going to "help" all those poor Third World Countries that seemed to be balking at their offers.
(Now they'll either comply or they can be invaded for harboring would-be terrorists.   They'll accept this "help" or else....)

--And,  haven't we been "harboring" as many terrorists as any other country?   Is the Constitutional prohibition of deployment of American military against American citizens the reason we required the ability to deploy "UN" troops?
After all, now UN "peacekeepers" can "protect" New York City, Washington, D,C., Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Boston, Seattle, Denver, London, Munich, Switzerland, Paris, Hong Kong, Dallas/Ft.Worth, Australia, Israel, all major airports, Ships, Railroads, Interstate Highways, Banks, all gold, diamond, and other vital or valuable mineral sources, water supplies, oil fields, electric generation facilities, the Internet, etc., etc.

      Why am I worried?

Operation Noble Eagle

O.N.E.

We can't say we weren't warned.

Addendum 9/26:
Whoops!   They must have thought that acronym too obvious; --now they're calling it "Operation Enduring Freedom."
Does "Enduring" mean "long lasting," or is it really intended to connote "toleration of suffering"?   Why these word games?
